"Lisbeth" is a factory made replica of a German "Mein Liebling" from Mary Benner's "TREASURED DOLLS OF THE GOLDEN AGE" collection.
Lisbeth is only 11 1/2 inches tall, (Bluette size),
on a all porcelain, jointed body.
An Interesting Note:
Just recently the owner of the Museum "La Comédie Enfantine" in Belgium purchased both "Lisbeth" and her companion doll, "Juliane" for a department in the museum which is "devoted to the artists of today who return life and heart to the dolls of yesterday".
Also Please Note: There are a very limited number of these dolls remaining in this edition. Unfortunately, once they are all sold, there will be no more as we are no longer manufacturing dolls.
Lisbeth Has The Following Features:
* Beautifully painted antique replica head in pale porcelain.
* 11pc. jointed all porcelain body with replica labels. The bodies were made from a mold of a real papermache bodies similar to the ones used in the 1800's.
* Blue, solid GLASS paperweight eyes.
* Synthetic MOHAIR wig. The wig on this doll is soft and feels like mohair, but unlike mohair, a synthetic mohair wig is not as fragil and can be styled, curled and combed.
* Lovely costumes made of 100% China SILK and decorated in rosettes, antique colored lace, ribbons and pearls.
* AND PLEASE NOTE: The costume which includes the dress, bonnet, undergarments, socks and shoes are fully removeable and NOT glued to the doll. The dresses and slips both have tiny buttons and button holes !
* The undergarments include cotton pantaloons and a slip trimmed in lace.
